Antonio 'Anthony' Merola Born 26 May 1897 in Manhattan, New York.
According to his Certificate and Record of Birth, his father, Luigi, was 34 and
his mother, Rosa, was 28 at the time of Anthony's birth. That same document
indicated that there were 6 previous children and 4 currently living at the time of
his birth. Regarding the four we know that Aunt Angelina or Angie was living, Aunt Amelia or Melie
was living though she passed before 1910 and Aunt Maria or Mary was living but have no knowledge of
who the fourth brother or sister may have been. This is again one of those mysteries and will just
take more time to find out the answer too.
Anthony married Margarite Banks about 1939 - 1940. Uncle Anthony and Aunt Margarite
had one child, Janet Ann, who is believed to be still living in her fathers home along with her husband
Tom. We have no knowledge of Janet Ann. She is believed to be still married but no children
or grand children have been reported to be a product of the marriage.
